Self Honesty

Self honesty is such an integral part of any and all self transformative work. Approaching this sacred work with the curiosity of a child (no one is more honest than a child), you’ll discover it’s much like having a conservation with the five year old version of yourself. The dialogue is simple, the needs are simple, the actions are simple; but simple doesn’t mean easy…

It’s our own responsibility to look at the congestion in our minds and our hearts and take personal responsibility then, to meet our own needs.

Where do we begin? How do we start?

The easiest way that I’ve (and my clients) been able to tap into true and honest dialogue with the self is through stream of consciousness journaling within the first 30 minutes of waking, also called “The Morning Pages”. This is a practice that I learned from Julia Cameron’s book “The Artist’s Way”. I went into depth about this ritual and its life changing effects (akin to magic) in my previous blog.

Approaching your morning journaling with the sacredness of ritual your able to get on paper and out of your body the thoughts, feelings and experiences that we may feel shame, guilt, frustration or embarrassment about… We get to meet our shadow self, inner child, protector, manager and every other part that’s been silenced and give them some air time, establishing a relationship and communication begins to allow us to liberate some of the massive amounts of energy used to keep all those parts hidden to work through blocks that have been holding ourselves back for years even decades…

Outing my shadow…

In the spirit of self honesty, I’m being called to step through a fear threshold. Outing my shadow in a way… Our gifts are ALWAYS hidden within our shadows! The previous blog posts that I’ve made prior to this have been completely out of alignment with my vision and calling for this platform. I’ve been watering myself down and making myself digestible for the masses because I’m terrified of rejection! Playing small and staying safe because of fear. I’ve been doing the things that I HATE about the mainstream because it feels really scary to be out here doing and saying things and being vulnerable on a large scale that NOBODY does. This blog is for my younger self, she ALWAYS wanted to know the TRUTH and for people to just be honest and operate with integrity… I failed her in a big way and this is how to make it right. I intuitively have been feeling the burden and pressure of being inauthentic and picked up my Human Design Bodygraph and one of my many Human Design books and began to furiously take notes, I just knew that there was something that I have been missing… and lo and behold, I found it!

Freak to Genius!

The Structuring Channel (43-23) is a prevalent placement in my Human Design Bodygraph as well as in my Gene Keys Hologenetic profile. This channel holds my Radiance (what keeps me healthy) as well as my Purpose (what deeply fulfills me). This is a Design of Individuality. It engages in a mutative and metamorphic process that empowers efficiency. The Channel of Structuring conceptualizes and expresses a unique and original perspective in a way that changes how people see and think… My deeply rooted fear of rejection and playing small has been hiding my gifts of “Genius”… Why is it that the crowd is threatened by an Individual? What makes someone a Freak? What does it mean for someone to have a different perception than you? Why do the masses go out of their way to silence and criticize these Individuals?

Am I destined to always be on the outside looking in? Is there community, connection and tribe available to me?

The magic that is hidden within our own self honesty is the honesty we share with others. Flying our Freak flag high and proud is the very thing that attracts our deep connections and community. Owning all the things that we have hidden from the masses liberates ourselves from this self imposed prison. This is your invitation to get honest with yourself. This is your invitation to attract the most aligned community and friendships of your life. This is your invitation to do the scary thing. This is your invitation to build the life of your dreams! It all starts with self honesty…
